Brianna’s Dream
Brianna’s dream was a long time coming. This imaginative and energetic 8 year old dreamed of castle of her own, where she could play in a safe environment and not need to worry about her mast cell activation syndrome. With special, heartfelt gratitude for Laneway Builders (https://lanewaybuildersprojects.com/)and their amazing team for building and delivering Brianna’s Tiny Castle, we couldn’t have done it without you and your generous support! We know this amazing dream come true will bring Brianna and her family joy for many years to come.

Ali’s Dream
This 17 year old, with aspirations of becoming a Psychologist who works with children with disabilities, will be heading into his final year of high school this fall after a spectacular dream come true. Living with Morquios Syndrome can be challenging for Ali and his family, and leaves Ali dependent on a wheelchair for mobility, and his family for much of his care. But with the help of a new hi-low, fully adjustable bed and a new PS5 set up in his room, we hope Ali’s bedroom makeover was everything he hoped and more and will provide him with some much needed escape from the daily grind of high school. Ali’s dream for an Extreme Teen Gaming Bedroom Makeover was hugely successful with very special thanks to Tina and the staff from Ultramatic,(https://ultramaticsleep.com/?utm_campaign=16714813655&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=731682168900&utm_term=ultramatic+sleep&adgroupid=133739448846&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=16714813655&gbraid=0AAAAAD-5rOvj_y9QQxCPPD9WoQvqOqQMU&gclid=Cj0KCQiAiKzIBhCOARIsAKpKLAMR2pa9BRnujxDJFE7UJSuFWGf-mOGwu3C-A0gJXSS68CtZoU26y3YaAio5EALw_wcB) Ali and his team from Sable Realty a(https://www.sablerealty.ca/)nd Lawrence from Lorenzo’s Renos.(https://www.facebook.com/lorenzosrenos/)

Kaelyn’s Dream
In 2022, Kaelyn spent both her brother’s 16th birthday and her own 14th birthday in hospital. Alberta Dreams was thrilled to help give Kaelyn and her family the birthday re-do trip of her dreams. With the constant struggles to manage her GPA (Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis) this strong, kind, and loving teen wanted to revisit her first concert experience from when she was 7 years old. Her dream to see Katy Perry live in Las Vegas was spectacular with special thanks to the staff at the Horseshoe, Nancy Hansen for her helping book these wonderful accommodations, and the amazing assistant general manager Maria Sandoval Flores and staff at Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen (https://www.gordonramsayrestaurants.com/en/us/hells-kitchen/locations/las-vegas?srsltid=AfmBOopu8O7ZPmL8QYjk7YfpJ0RV7gwXJNKlzjgV08pAfMWQxpRpnEBW)for accommodating the reservation and the out of this world deserts. We hope these memories will last this adventurous foodie and her family for many years to come.

Anthony’s Dream
With a special “Thank-You” to Anthony’s Occupational Therapist Faith Whittingham from the Society for Autism Support and Services (https://www.autism.ca/)and Anthony’s mom Candice, for their recommendations and work assembling and installing his new items; Anthony is all smiles while jumping on his new trampoline in his extra special sensory bedroom designed specifically with his needs in mind.
At 16, Anthony has had numerous V-P shunts to help to manage the pressure on his brain. As a result of his hydrocephalus, he is nonverbal, autistic, and has an intellectual disability. In Addition to his trampoline, Anthony loves, music, lights, bright colors, and he is comforted when wearing his over the ear his over the ear headphones. His new room has all of those things and more. With his new loft bed with fort, egg swing, black out curtains, a bubble tube, acrylic mirrors, sensory toys and so much more, we hope this engaging yet calming space will bring Anthony and his mom rest and joy for along time to come.

Piper’s Dream
Piper’s road to a diagnosis was long and exhausting but once they found out she has Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis and were able to get her on the right treatment, things started looking up for this 12 year old. She is passionate about art, Lego, reading, and hanging out with her friends. Piper is most of all a huge Harry Potter fan, and this past summer her dream came true when she and her family went on a magical trip to visit the wizarding world of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood. There they also enjoyed visiting Legoland and taking in a Dodger’s game.

Liam’s Dream
Liam’s Dream for a family trip to Disneyworld was a long time in the making. Originally approved in 2019, with travel booked for the spring of 2020, his trip was postponed due to the CV-19 pandemic.
Liam suffered a severe acquired brain injury, secondary to a stroke and brain bleed as a toddler, with lasting impacts of left spastic hemiplegia and global delays. Despite these challenges this teen is still living his best life. Liam enjoys bowling, swimming, horse back riding, and everything Superhero. Liam is also very busy with his part time job and loves spending time with his family out at their lake lot just outside of the city.
Well worth the wait. Alberta Dreams was thrilled that Liam and his long time foster parents and younger foster brother enjoyed an amazing 7 days this past spring in Disneyworld, where they were able to meet up with some extended family members too. Some of their most memorable visits were to The Avengers Campus and Galaxy’s Edge where Liam’s favorite ride was Smugglers Run.

Thyana’s Dream
Thyana may be quiet and a bit shy but she is a dedicated LEGO engineer who through sheer determination and a passion for building, assembled the 4016 LEGO pieces of her new Star Wars Death Star Space Station in mere days. Though born with spina bifida, she is having a great time, living her dream come true, playing with her new space station with Star Wars figurines and exploring her remote northern Alberta community with her family on her new eBike.

Daxton’s Dream
Daxton is a shy 8 year old boy, who comes out of his shell when he is with his family and friends. Despite having Cerebral Palsy, significantly limited vision, and a seizure disorder, amongst other medical conditions, this young boy loves to be outside. He enjoys playing at the park, going on the see-saw, swinging, riding his bike, swimming, dancing, and playing tickles. Due to Daxton’s mobility limitations he and his family were struggling to do the things together they used to do when he was smaller. With the independence Daxton has gained from his amazing new Freedom Chair Junior, with the help of our wonderful partners at GRIT,(https://www.kidsincluded.ca/) he and his family are back on the trails – ready to explore all Calgary and the near by Rocky Mountains have to offer.

Autumn’s Dream
Autumn’s severe seizure disorder makes getting out safely quite difficult. Making her dream come true for a fabulous new adapted stroller has given her the freedom to explore and enjoy the outdoors again. This affectionate young girl loves to be around people, watching “Guess with Jess” and Disney movies. She enjoys strong pleasant smells and exploring different textures. We were thrilled to see the photos and videos from Autumn’s first trip to the Zoo with her family in her new ride.

Hannah’s Dream
A long time coming, we are so excited to finally be able to make Hannah’s dream come true. Originally approved in 2021, the CV-19 global pandemic made it near impossible to find the right RV for Hannah and her family.
Hannah was born with Acromelic Frontonasal Dysotosis and though her condition impacts her airways making it difficult to for her to breath, creates swallowing issues, causes developmental and speech delays, she has no trouble expressing her opinions to her family. She loves to be outdoors, animals and all things “nature” so we hope this amazing young family will get out there and finally start exploring all our province has to offer.
A special “Thank-You” to Darren Wells of Western RV Country (https://www.westernrvcountry.com/)– Grande Prairie for helping this beautiful family get in the RV of Hannah’s dreams.

Ella’s Dream
8 year old Ella, diagnosed with Rett Syndrome, was able to live her best life with her mom, dad, and big brother on the warm beaches of Cancun Mexico earlier this spring. Ella’s giggles, smiles, and sheer joy experienced at the beautiful all inclusive resort warmed the hearts of her family as they explored a whole new world creating amazing memories. Though Ella’s illness means that she is mostly nonverbal, she has sever autism, degenerating muscle control and fine motor skills, global developmental delay, and heart issues, nothing could stop her from being in the thick of it all on this adventure. She and her family loved the beach, the sand, the pools, shopping and even had an up close visit with some local dolphins. We think Ella’s smile in this photo says it all!

Madden’s Dream
Madden is a super energetic 8 year old who loves to be transported to new places through video games. He was diagnosed with a genetic glycogen storage disease at the age of 2 and struggles to control his sugars and ketones frequently ending up with visits to the emergency department of the Alberta Children’s Hospital for IV fluids and medications to correct his levels. Madden enjoys tobogganing in the winter, skateboarding in the summer, playing outside, and running through the sprinkler when it is warm out. He loves to hide, snuggle, and to be in closed/tight places to feel safe and happy. Madden has a great imagination, he loves to create cool and different things out of Lego and to watch you tube videos of exciting online games. Alberta Dreams was super excited to be able to help Madden explore great new worlds with a gaming PC of his very own with the help of the amazing staff at Memory Express Computers Calgary South East.(https://www.memoryexpress.com/Store/Location/CalSE)

Myles’ Dream
4 year old Myles and his family spent a fantastic weekend on a road trip to Edmonton to take in all the sights, sounds, and excitement that West Edmonton Mall had to offer. Despite coming in to the world early, at just 25 weeks of gestation, and suffering from dystonia, epilepsy, chronic lung disease, and developmental delays, Myles cruised the halls of WEM, visiting Galaxyland, the World Water Park, playing mini golf, shopping, and sampling the food at many of the restaurants with his big brother, mom, and dad. With Myles’ love of Hot Wheels we thought a few nights in the Truck theme room at the Fantasyland Hotel would be right up his alley.
A special shout out to WEM Cares (https://www.wem.ca/info/wem-cares)for all their support of Alberta Dreams and helping to make Myles’ dream come true.

Emmy’s Dream
Born with spinal dysgenesis, bilateral clubbed feet, neurogenic bladder and congenital hip dislocation, this talented French immersion student, actor, model, and You-Tuber helped to create the ultimate bedroom. Under Emmy’s guidance and thanks to the hard work of her parents (painting and assembling) this pink, unicorn, and rainbow themed makeover, included new paint, generously donated by the amazing staff at Dulux Paints i(https://www.dulux.ca/diy/home.html)n St. Albert, new wall paper, cool new LED lighting, a beautiful loft bed with a youth office and you-tube studio area with everything needed to make you-tube videos under the bed and so much more. Paige’s Dream
Paige was born with a rare genetic disorder, Congenital Afibrinogenemia, that can cause severe hemorrhaging due to a lack of coagulation product in the blood. At just 7 years old she receives twice weekly infusions of Fibrinogen through her surgically implanted port in her chest. She splits her time living with both her mom and her dad on separate weeks. Like lots of little girls her age, she enjoys coloring, watching movies, playing video games, Barbie dolls, Disney princesses (especially Ariel), playing on swings, swimming, singing, and playing her guitar, and going on adventure walks with her parents and two dogs. Paige was thrilled with her new backyard playcenter and princess party with Ariel, her siblings, and cousins to celebrate the setup and the “official opening” of her very own private playground.
