Dream #1274

This bright, curious, and adventurous eight-year-old girl approaches life with resilience, imagination, and a determination that inspires everyone around her.

As the oldest of three children, she takes great pride in being a big sister, especially to her younger brothers. Caring, protective, and kind-hearted, she naturally steps into a nurturing role while bringing plenty of energy and personality to every room she enters.

At a young age, she was diagnosed with Developmental Epileptic Encephalopathy with Spike-Wave Activation in Sleep or DEE-SWAS, a complex neurological condition that causes significant seizure activity, particularly during sleep. Despite ongoing treatment and medical care, restful nights remain rare, impacting her energy, learning, and development. Yet she continues to face each day with remarkable strength and positivity.

She is playful, funny, and full of life. She loves spending time outdoors, visiting the park, playing with friends, and exploring the world around her. While she can be shy at first, her confidence and sense of humor quickly shine through. She dreams big, sometimes of becoming a doctor, and other times a pilot.

Because of her medical condition, many childhood activities require extra precautions, making opportunities for adventure especially meaningful.

Her dream is a helicopter ride through the mountains. Inspired by her love of flying, this experience would allow her to see the world from a whole new perspective while creating special memories with her family. Combined with time exploring the Rockies, it offers the chance for freedom, wonder, and discovery in a safe and accessible way.

Alberta Dreams is excited to help bring to life a dream filled with adventure, possibility, and the chance for an incredible young girl to soar above the challenges she faces every day.
