Dream #1266

This fun‑loving, fearless, and highly social teenage girl embraces life with energy, courage, and a deep love for adventure and connection.
Born prematurely, her early life was shaped by significant medical complexity. She lives with bilateral spastic diplegic cerebral palsy (GMFCS Level III), epilepsy, and an intellectual developmental disability. She is primarily non‑verbal and uses an AAC device to communicate. Over the years, she has undergone multiple surgeries to support mobility and manage muscle tone. She uses braces and a walker and relies on a wheelchair for longer distances. While seizures are less frequent today, they still require careful ongoing management.
Despite these challenges, she is thriving — and living life boldly.
She loves school, music, movement, and being around others. She expresses joy through rhythm, connection, and activity, and is deeply motivated to take part in everything her family does.
More than anything, she is an adrenaline lover.
Outdoor adventure brings her alive. She loves biking, horseback riding, and especially skiing. Being on the mountain alongside her siblings makes her feel capable, included, and free. Skiing is not just a sport for her — it’s belonging.
Currently, her ability to sit ski depends on limited rental access and scheduling, which restricts how often she can participate. These limits aren’t due to willingness or support, but access to the right equipment.
Her dream is to receive her own sit ski — giving her the freedom to ski more often and fully join her family in the outdoor experiences they love. This dream removes barriers and allows her to participate naturally and confidently.
Alberta Dreams is privileged to help fulfill this dream by providing adaptive equipment that will allow her to chase the thrill she loves and stand alongside her family— fully included — on the mountain.
