Dream #1262

This bright, adventurous young boy has shown remarkable perseverance, courage, and a deep love for life. Born alongside his twin sister after years of hope and waiting, he has been a cherished gift to his family from the very beginning.

Arriving a little early, he required extra medical care as an infant, but his early childhood soon became filled with activity, affection, and a love for the outdoors. Just before his seventh birthday, however, his life changed with the sudden onset of seizures. After multiple medical emergencies, he was diagnosed with epilepsy.

The years that followed were challenging. Several medications were tried in hopes of gaining seizure control, many with difficult side effects that affected his energy and well‑being. Much of childhood was temporarily placed on hold. Then, at last, a new treatment brought hope.

He has now been seizure‑free for several months, and the change has been life‑changing. He is more present, more engaged, and once again able to enjoy the everyday moments that matter most.

Today, he is a compassionate, affectionate child who loves school — especially physical activity. He is quick to help others, deeply connected to his family, and happiest when he is outdoors. Fishing, water, movement, and time in nature bring him a sense of calm and joy.

And now, he has a dream that reflects everything he loves.

His wish is a family houseboating adventure — days spent swimming, tubing, fishing, and exploring, and evenings filled with laughter and connection. A chance to unplug, be fully present, and simply enjoy time together in nature.

Alberta Dreams is honored to help make this dream a reality by granting a family houseboating adventure in the beautiful Shuswaps, British Columbia — creating space for healing, joy, and unforgettable memories. For a child who has faced illness with strength and optimism, this experience will offer more than fun. It will offer freedom, connection, and moments that will last a lifetime.
