Dream #1261

This little boy’s life began with challenges few can imagine. Born very early, he spent his first two months in the NICU, where doctors discovered an extremely rare neurodevelopmental disorder, TUBA1A Mutation, that affects how the brain forms and functions. Before he ever went home, he needed brain surgery to relieve dangerous pressure caused by early‑fusing cranial sutures.
Feeding was a struggle from the beginning. Frequent aspiration put him at constant risk for pneumonia, and he eventually required a permanent G‑tube. As he grew, more diagnoses followed — spastic cerebral palsy, global developmental delay, and nonverbal communication. He is wheelchair‑dependent and will always need full support for his daily care.
His family made significant sacrifices including a move across the country to ensure he could receive the therapies and services he needs, and through every challenge, he continues to shine.
He is joyful.
He is social.
He is deeply connected to the people around him.
He loves his church community, music, drumming, and playing guitar. He communicates through gestures and with an AAC device he’s learning to use. He loves school, time with friends, and being outside — swimming, watching birds, seeing animals, exploring splash parks, and taking road trips.
And now, he has a dream filled with wonder.
His wish is a family trip to Disney World with a stay at Give Kids the World Village — a fully accessible, magical environment designed for children with complex needs. His family once tried to give him a Disney experience, but the crowds and long lines made it overwhelming. This trip would be completely different: calm, supported, inclusive, and created just for him.
A place where he can meet characters, experience rides safely, and feel the magic every child deserves and Alberta Dreams is delighted to help bring this unforgettable dream to life.
