Dream #1250

What began as a normal birth turned into years of medical challenges. At just six weeks old, she was diagnosed with failure to thrive and required a feeding tube to survive. Surgery soon followed for a permanent g-tube and fundoplication to stop constant vomiting. Despite receiving nutrition, she battled severe oral aversion—unable to eat, taste, or even tolerate anything near her mouth.
For years, hospital stays, tests, and therapies dominated her life. Today, at 16, she still relies on a g-tube for all meals, but she hasn’t let that stop her. She’s a competitive dancer, loves musical theater, and even bakes for her family—though she can’t eat what she makes.
Her dream is simple yet powerful: to travel, see the ocean, and experience sunshine and freedom. She’s chosen San Diego—a place with beaches, an aquarium, and a little taste of Italy she’s always wanted to see.
Alberta Dreams is looking forward to sending this lovely teen and her family on a trip of a lifetime to create some lasting memories in San Diego, California.
