Dream #1245

At just 10 years old, life changed dramatically for this young hockey player. What began as nausea and fatigue quickly turned into severe weight loss and weeks confined to bed. After months of misdiagnoses and even fears of leukemia, a trusted pediatrician stepped in and referred him to the Stollery Children’s Hospital. Within minutes, specialists had the answer: severe Crohn’s disease. Aggressive treatment began immediately, and slowly, strength returned. Today, he’s thriving—back on the ice, playing the sport he loves most.
This now 13 year old is thriving. He still requires monthly infusions and ongoing treatment, but he’s back to being the fun-loving, hockey-obsessed kid his family knows and loves. Over the past three years, he has become the goalie for his local team—a role he embraces with pride and determination. He loves the pressure, the excitement, and the leadership that comes with guarding the net. His teammates are his biggest supporters.
Off the ice, this teen loves airplanes, golf and is a die-hard Toronto Maple Leafs fan. His ultimate dream? To attend a Leafs home game, wearing his jersey and cheering alongside thousands of fans in their home arena—a once-in-a-lifetime experience for a young goalie who fought so hard to get back in the game. Alberta Dreams cannot wait to make this dream come true.
