Dream #1244

Born with proximal femoral focal deficiency and fibular hemimelia, this now 12 year old preteen had his first leg prosthesis at 10 months of age, numerous leg lengthening surgeries over the past 6 years and serial casting to reduce his pain and try to give him as much mobility and independence as possible. With serious complications from his last surgery he was bedridden for nearly 13 months and unable to walk or move around independently. Now finally healed but on the precipice of his next big surgery in 2026, he enjoys being outside, playing soccer, hanging out at the beach with his friends, watching his younger sister play club soft ball and playing video games. As a family they spend lots of time outdoors, fishing, camping, and ice fishing. Most of all he loves animals. He dreams to visit all of the zoos in North America one day.
Alberta Dreams can’t wait to get this dream started with an amazing family trip to one of the world’s best zoos, the San Diego Zoo in California where he can finally see a snow leopard in person.
